The Mohonk Mountain House is an 1869 Victorian mansion nestled on the Shawangunk Ridge in the Hudson Valley. The Spa at Mohonk Mountain House was named one of the "World’s Best" by Travel + Leisure magazine. It includes a heated pool, yoga room and an expanded fitness center. Other recreation includes rock climbing, golf, hiking, tennis, boating, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, swimming, horseback riding and carriage rides. There's also a 18,000-square-foot skating pavilion. Families can enjoy the kids' camp activities, movies and campfires, and the Victorian maze.

What needs to be said? This place is an amazing piece of our local history and an unparalleled unique property to visit.

You can hike from the bottom, but if you're okay with the price it's really nice to buy the barbecue lunch which gets you access to the entire property.
