Brilliant pub, with lots of nooks and crannies, duck pond and chickens across the road. From horwich turn right at Lucianos at the millstone and follow the road over the motorway. Park at the rear of the pub. Huge food portions. It’s a rainy Wednesday tea time and fully booked tonight. No WiFi. Bowling Green at the back. I can recommend the rose wine. But don’t bother with the two cherry sambucas at the end of the night, so the children can play hide and seek and do handstands. You see this is why I had to move to didsbury , my family are a bad influence and party animals.
