The Rimu Hut - Cosy Bush Escape

A tramping-style A-frame chalet nestled against rimu trees on the edge of a stunning 15-acre native forest block close to the Hunua Ranges in rural South Auckland. Built by the owners using macrocarpa timber grown on the property, it was intended to be a place where their grandchildren could enjoy sleepovers in the forest and afternoon adventures. They soon realised though, that such a special place should be shared so they decided to make it available to others. Cosy in winter, cool in summer!

Hereford Cottage

Welcome to our private romantic getaway at Hereford Cottage. Located in Whakatiwai, north of Kaiaua with a backdrop of the Hunua ranges. We absolutely love living here and thought we would like to share one of our favourite places with others. We offer a beautiful one-bedroom cottage with a lovely outdoor wood fire tub and a romantic little area with a firepit, nestled in a natural setting with views of a stream, native bush and native birds. Only a 10min drive to the Hakiramata Summit Track and loop track. Te Awa River Trail starts 10mins away at The Point in Ngaruawahia. Raglan by the sea is only 56mins away.

Whare Tatū

*** currently building an extra room and an outdoor bath, estimated completion mid October*** This will not affect your stay before that date :) Our private whare is a short drive/walk to Ngarunui Beach. Raglan Township will take you just under 10 minutes by car, or if you’re able, it’s a wonderful walk of around 35 minutes, either along the beach on low tide, or the new footpath that’s just opposite our drive. You will also find Cala Cafe! Our whare is ideal for couples :)

Kaakano Ridge

Kaakano Ridge is a 4ha lifestyle property with stunning lake and rural views. It is home to Koowhai Cabin which offers cosy comfort and an elevated deck to relax and take in the views. Located on the outskirts of Te Kauwhata village, Kaakano Ridge is an hour south of Auckland, 40 minutes north of Hamilton, 10 minutes from Hampton Downs and 2 minutes from Waikare Golf Club. A great location near Waikato Hospital, Hamilton Lake, Hamilton Gardens and the city centre. Green Valley Cabin overlooks a gully with nature right on your doorstep. You may even be greeted by our delightful and friendly one-eyed cat, Winky. This is a self-contained unit with a toilet and shower. Please note no kitchen or cooking facilities, however, there is a fridge and microwave.
