The off grid Rest Camp offers a unique option to pack your tent and camp and/or use 2 comfortable and clean bedrooms. It is the ONLY campsite on the 1600HA Syringa Sands game farm and has a lapa & braai area; a kitchenette with a 2 pit gas burner; a separate toilet & gas geyser shower. Up to 8 glampers welcome. You will find us halfway Vaalwater & Thabazimbi, along a scenic 45km dirt road. A 4x4 or high clearance vehicle is recommended. Suitable only for 4x4 trailers and caravans.

Matopos Cabin

Matopos is a rock & wood cabin in a wild syringa forest located on Grootfontein Private Nature Reserve. Guests can unwind in the wood-fired hot tub while enjoying mountain views or gather around the fire for a braai under the stars. This 2-bedroom unit boasts en-suite bathrooms, an open-plan kitchenette, a dining area, lounge area & braai facilities. OFF THE GRID Our units make use of solar power. PLEASE DO NOT use hairdryers / electric blankets / hair straighteners.

With two aircon units and a fully enclosed garden, it really is the perfect holiday for couples or small families! Please note that although the listing sleeps up to 4 people, it is more suited to a couple (main bedroom) and 1/2 young children or another adult on the sofa bed in the living room.

Aloe Lodge

Aloe Lodge is an off-the-grid retreat tucked between 2 rocky hills located on Grootfontein Private Nature Reserve. The lodge can accommodate up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms, each furnished with a king-size bed and featuring an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. Guests can unwind in the private splash pool while enjoying mountain views or enjoy stargazing from the cargo net. Warm water is provided via a gas geyser, and Wi-Fi is available for guests’ convenience.

The Two Wild Olives-Aloe self-catering unit

Aloe is a private garden unit with all amenities, ideally situated less than a 10 minute drive from the Manyane gate of the beautiful Pilanesberg National park. The unit is small, but it is cozy and functional. Ideal for people who plan to spend their days in the park. There are 2 single beds that can be made up at a king for couples and a small sleeper couch. The little fully equipped kitchen adjoins the room. *Only 1 parking bay per unit.
