Stone Country Cottage

Very private, quaint stone cottage in the Townland of Coomkeen, on the Sheep's Head Peninsula (the Wild Atlantic Way), Ireland's best hiking country. Two Miles to village of Durrus, five miles from town of Bantry. Cottage was originally built in 1845 by my great uncle. ceilings in kitchen are low, in order for fireplace to keep warm. There are odd heights in doors typical for the era., PLEASE BE ADVISED PERHAPS A CHALLENGE FOR VERY TALL VISITORS. Or you can take a walk back in time and enjoy.

Kilcomane Cottage

The stone cottage which is over 250 years old has been recently renovated and retains its traditional style: stone and white-washed walls, inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove. There are also modern conveniences: heating, Wifi, TV with Netflix and fully equipped kitchen. Downstairs there is an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with a vaulted ceiling and the bathroom. Upstairs is a cosy double bedroom. Outside guests have their own patio and garden area with seating

With a view over rolling countryside to Mount Gabriel and only 2 miles off The Wild Atlantic Way, Skeagh Creamery Cottage is the ideal base from which to explore all that West Cork has to offer. It looks traditional from the outside but is full of modern convenience. The double ensuite bedroom, large open plan living space and an overhead twin room provide all that's required for a comfortable stay. The famous Ring of Kerry with it's breath taking scenery is easily accessible via Kenmare town Co. Kerry (25km).
