Fairfax View - delightful annexe cottage, Gilling

Situated in the picturesque village of Gilling East on the edge of the North York Moors national park, Fairfax View offers the perfect base to explore this beautiful corner of Yorkshire. This one bedroom cottage has en-suite shower room, well equipped kitchen and large lounge with double sofa bed (available for use by prior request). Located directly opposite the highly-acclaimed Fairfax Arms and on the edge of the Ampleforth Abbey and College campus, with a 9 hole golf course in the village.

The Little House Peaceful & self-contained

Located in the centre of the lovely village of Kilburn on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, the Little House is peaceful, cosy and self-contained, tucked away from the general hustle and bustle of the village with a safe garden for dogs and children. The Forresters Arms, serving local ales and meals, is a mere 20m across the square, it is best to reserve a table. The Mouseman Furniture Centre is just around the corner and the White Horse of Kilburn is a good walk up the hill.

Railway Carriage Hideaway

A beautiful hand-renovated 1960s railway carriage, nestled in a quiet rural farm in Norton le Clay, North Yorkshire. Featuring bespoke detail throughout, our unique hideaway features a luxurious double bed with TV, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, and a cosy log burner. Outside, enjoy the fenced private space with a fire pit/BBQ, games and seating overlooking the iconic White Horse. Tucked behind a wildflower bank with its own track and parking, this is a peaceful spot to unwind.

The Hut in the Wild

Come and stay in our beautifully finished, tin shepherds hut at the bottom of our garden. We are located in the rolling countryside with extensive views over the vale of York. After a day of exploring this AONB, there’s nothing like cooking tea over the fire pit or wood pellet pizza oven followed by a dip under the stars in our rustic hot tub. Fall into a fresh clean bed and wake up to the sound of the dawn chorus. Our bathroom barn provides all your needs for a morning freshen up!See you soon.

The 'Hippie Shack' is a modern Shepherd’s Hut with a private wood-fired hot tub and garden, set in the countryside next to peaceful woodland but only 20 mins from York. Surrounded by local wildlife and our goats, it’s a relaxing escape to reconnect with nature. Explore scenic walks, or visit nearby town Easingwold's pubs, shops, and dining. Discover hidden Yorkshire gems like Yearsley Woods just 10 mins away. Enjoy the site tipi, pond, and barn areas. Unwind, disconnect and get back to nature.

A cosy cottage nestled in the hills of the North Yorkshire Moors, on the edge of Ampleforth village. An ideal place to relax, listen to the wildlife and enjoy the beautiful countryside. The pretty market town Helmsley is less than 10 minutes drive, with lots to explore. There is an abundance of great walks from your doorstep, excellent cycling routes and you will be spoilt for choice with fantastic cafes, pubs and restaurants. York is 45 mins drive and an hour to the coast for beach walks.

We are surrounded by hills and open countryside which fringe the unique open moors. It is also part of a collection of other 8 properties (previously a working farm) that can be booked individually or exclusively all together.

Inspired by the peaceful Japanese gardens at Newburgh Priory, The Hinoki Retreat, which is set within the grounds of the Estate aims to create a truly relaxing experience that will allow you to soak away the pressures of modern day life. Your own private luxury Japanese Ofuro wood fired hot tub (2 man capacity) will be heated ready for when you arrive as a complimentary part of your stay! Sugi is a bespoke hand built wooden pod on a raised platform with views down to the estate grounds.

Fabulous cottage in Coxwold, the perfect bolthole!

Braecote is a peaceful, warm, and welcoming cottage in the picture perfect village of Coxwold. With wide grass verges, honey coloured stone houses and a traditional country pub just up the road, Coxwold is one of the prettiest villages in North Yorkshire. York, Harrogate, Helmsley and Malton are close by, the North York Moors, Yorkshire Dales and east coast all within easy reach. Newburgh Priory is just up the road and Michelin starred Black Swan at Oldstead a short drive away.

Stunning rural shepherds hut

Located in the stunning Howardian Hills, this is a peaceful and romantic location. A perfect all year round escape. You park your car and the hut is a 5 minute walk from our house- make sure you pack suitable footwear. We can transport your luggage to the hut. The hut has cooking facilities (oven and a hob), there is also a fire pit for barbecues and a picnic table for outdoor dining. You have exclusive use of a hot tub which is right next to the hut.

The Den at Husthwaite Gate

The Den is cosy and comfortable and offers great accommodation for up to 6 guests (adults and children). It is a cleverly and sympathetically converted building on a site which was originally a sidings for the local railway station (closed in 1960's). Materials were up-cycled giving a special timber interior but benefits from up to date fittings and technology It is on a private and tranquil site in open countryside with great views and lovely walks.
