Ideally located for walkers, cyclists or anyone who enjoys the great outdoors and only a 5 minute drive from the hustle and bustle of Bowness on Windermere. The cottage has direct access to the Award winning ‘Brown Horse Inn’ where you can enjoy a delicious meal or pop in for a few cold beverages after a long day exploring the Lakes.

A romantic, stylish and cosy cottage for two in the beautiful Lake District National Park, half a mile from the shores of Lake Windermere and a 20 minute drive from Junction 36 of the M6. We are dog friendly. Our 250 year old cottage features modern rustic decor, u/f heating, log burner, super-fast internet, Smart TV, Sonos sound system and a complimentary podPoint 7kw EV charger. There are many wonderful walks and bike rides available from the front door. Stays start Mondays or Fridays.

This newly converted cottage aims to provide you with all the comforts of a loving home, but with an abundance of style that lets you know you’re being treated somewhere far away. The property is split up over three floors, with a bespoke kitchen diner on the ground floor, an open plan living room with window seats, a log burner and a modern tv for relaxing, then the tope floor provides the bedroom with large en-suite style bathroom that’s quirkily decorated to offer a truly unique stay.

We offer guests a contact free stay in our detached studio suite in the Lake District.To refresh the studio and to complete intensive cleaning we block off a day either side of every booking. The studio has a king-sized bed, dining table & chairs, a very comfortable sofa, TV, lobby, wet room, small kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, tableware, cutlery. Patio doors open on to a private sun terrace overlooking the garden and surrounding fields. Parking next to the studio.

Apple House is a quiet retreat, a place where you can completely unwind. Standing in the gardens of Hylands, a fine Arts and Crafts House, to the West of Kendal. Decorated using quality local materials and skills of local crafts people, with beautiful views to our wildlife garden; pond, kitchen garden and the hills beyond. The Apple House is 12 minutes walk from Kendal town center's many independent shops, cafes and restaurants and 5 minutes walk to our local pub 'The Rifleman's Arms'.

Magical, grade II listed 18th century traditional Lakeland cottage, set within 5 acres of woodlands leading directly to private beaches on Lake Windermere. Relax in a peaceful, natural environment, ideal for friends and families, wild swimmers, cyclists, paddle boarders, hikers and for cosy evenings by the fireplace. A luxurious hot tub (perfect after a hard days hike) and an outdoor wood fired barrel sauna with cold shower are available at an extra cost. We've even got a tuck shop.

The 200 year old cottage sits in the southern foothills of the Lake District National Park, on the edge of an ancient woodland and tumbling stream - a perfect retreat for nature lovers. Peace and tranquility are guaranteed here; the area is ideal for cyclists, hikers, swimmers and walkers with valley and low fell walks from the doorstep and the high fells just a short drive away. *Short stays are possible when 3 consecutive days are unavailable - message with requests*

Pretty cottage, quiet location in view of the River Kent. All amenities walking distance with regular access to the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales. Kendal Castle minutes away, a nearby hotel offers pool and gym. Kendal hosts Brewery Arts Centre, one of leading arts centres in the UK. Parking is in front of the house. Welcoming guests from all nationalities, faiths and backgrounds, sadly no pets in the cottage. Children welcome with books/games/ toys adapted to age.
