Located next to the owners’ home, but still maintaining solitude and privacy, the cottage is surrounded by open fields and is a haven for wildlife.

Apple House is a quiet retreat, a much loved space where you can completely unwind. Standing in the garden of Hylands, a fine Arts and Crafts House, to the West of Kendal, it's decorated using quality local materials and skills of local crafts people. It has beautiful views to the wildlife garden; pond, kitchen garden and the hills beyond. It is 12 minutes walk from Kendal town center's many independent shops, cafes and restaurants and 5 minutes walk to our local pub 'The Rifleman's Arms'.

Situated on the edge of Hartsop, a tiny and tranquil hamlet at the foot of Kirkstone Pass, Green Bank is a gem of a rural getaway, with stunning walks in fells - low and high level - and around lakes from the garden gate. A popular holiday let since the 1990s with many repeat visitors, Green Bank used to be managed by an agency and has relatively recently come to AirBnB.

There are many wonderful walks and bike rides available from the front door. Stays start Mondays or Fridays.
