Quinta da Abelha is a bed and breakfast in the Algarve of Portugal. Run by us, Jan and Linda van der Bij. We moved to Portugal in 2015. With the bed & breakfast we have fulfilled our long-time dream to start an adventure abroad.  After a search of one year we bought an old fruit plantation near the small town of Laranjeiro. Little traditional house in the center of Bordeira, a little rural village in South West Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park, very close to unexplored and unforgettable beaches. The house was fully rebuilt by the owner, an interior architect, maintaining its core characteristics. The whiteness of its walls, the irregular steps made of shale, the hand painted wooden materials, all work together to make this house a very charming and cozy place.
