This is a fully furnished brick home in the foothills of NC. Convenient to and within 10 minutes of Carolina in the Fall, Merlefest, North Wilkesboro's Apple Festival, Wake Forest Baptist Health - Wilkes Medical Center, Kerr Scott Lake and Samaritan’s Purse. North Wilkesboro Speedway is 15 minutes away and the destinations of Boone, West Jefferson, Elkin, Sparta, Stone Mountain and the Blue Ridge Parkway are within 30. We are 40 miles to Appalachian Ski Mtn. and 55 to Sugar and Beech Mountain.

The Whip-poor-will's Roost (pets welcome!)

Nestled among the trees at the top of the ridge of Bell Mountain is our lovely cabin, aptly named The Whip-poor-will's Roost. These bird's distinctive calls can be heard in the early evening hours, a complimentary soundbite to the fresh mountain air. About 20 mi. from the Blue Ridge parkway, and looking out over + surrounded by Stone Mountain State Park and the Doughton Recreational area, this log cabin offers a peaceful getaway with ample access to the outdoors (including our own 18 acres).

We have lovingly restored this 1940s farmhouse in Elkin, located just minutes from some of North Carolinas best wineries! We have all the amenities to make you feel right at home. After a day of winery hopping, come back and enjoy some more wine and cheese in the beautiful, new spacious kitchen, or relax out back at the fire pit, taking in the expansive views! The quaint town of Elkin is located minutes away for dining and shopping, or go for a hike at Stone Mountain!

Blueberry Hill Cottage: town and country
