OAH 1870 Oldest Alesund House

Welcome to OAH-1870, the oldest surviving house in Ålesund’s city center – a charming cultural treasure built in 1870. This unique home withstood the devastating fire of 1904, preserving not only its original character but also a true piece of local history. Perfect Location: residential area, you're only 5 minutes on foot from the vibrant heart of Ålesund. Enjoy local cafés, restaurants, parks, museums, and iconic viewpoints like Fjellstua. Fjellturer til fots og på ski til Slogen, Saudehornet, Liadalsnipa, Molladalen og Melshornet(du kan gå fra hytta). Nær flere alpin og langrennsløyper.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful residence in the middle of mountains and fjords on Sunde, by the blue-green Oldevatnet /Oldewater. Here you have many hiking opportunities if you like to walk in the mountains. Klovane, Kjenuken/Høgenibba and Kattanakken are among the many popular top hikes in the area. 15 min drive to Briksdal glacier one way and 15 min drive to Loen and Hoven the other way. 30 min to Stryn. Place is well equipped with ready-made beds, towels and cleaning included!

In summer, Bakketunet is open to individual visitors with cultural programs and activities. Among other things, is the Indiefjord music festival. The famous knitting brand Hjørundfjordstrikk is located here.

Cottage of about 60 square meters with 2 bedrooms plus loft. Own kitchen with crockery. The cottage is in a peaceful area with 3 other cabins. The chalet is at the end of a private road and the area is quiet and peaceful. There is barbecue at the cabin for fine evenings with sunset in the fjord. There is a fireplace in the living room and it comes with firewood that can be used if it gets cold. There is also electric heating in every room. Bed linen and cleaning are included in the price.
