A charming holiday home settled in a rural location with easy access from the A1079, 3 miles from York Centre. Perfect for a romantic weekend, family getaway or for business travellers who appreciate a bit of peace and country air. Hagg Wood is beautiful to visit. Dunnington village is within walking distance with great amenities, a pub, hairdressers, chemist, supermarket & bakery. Tadpole Cottage

A Scandinavian style bungalow, set in a private 40 acre nature reserve, for 6-12 guests. The Woodland Garden, has a fantastic selection of mature Rhododendrons and azaleas extends to 1.5 acres, a fire pit with seating for 8-10, Two Decked areas, woodland pathway to access Allerthorpe Common. York is 20 min by car. Country Houses , Sledmere, Castle Howard and Burton Agnes are all within a 30 minute drive. Family/ friends, Male or Female groups welcome. A max of 2 dogs which are chargable.

The cottage is a Grade II listed barn conversion offering a welcoming base for your stay. Heating is provided by a biomass boiler, so very eco friendly. There is also a wood burning stove to keep you cosy. We are in a quiet village called East Cottingwith: a fantastic base for visiting York and touring Yorkshire. Ideal for cyclists, bird watchers, walkers and anyone who wishes to enjoy a rural location close to the attractions of the city of York. There is no regular public transport.

Ideal for a quiet getaway for couples who want the peace of this beautiful village but to have historic York only 4 miles away. The village is well served with a bakery, bistro, village store, pub, beauty and hair salon and pharmacy.
