Launch your boat at the Marina or Canyon Dam to have a fun-filled day of water sports or fishing. Visit Bailey Creek Golf Course, play Pickleball at Lake Almanor County Club, visit local restaurants, coffee shop, grocery store, microbrewery, and gas station nearby. Sorry, No Pets Allowed.

Hiker's Retreat Cabin

Cute cabin for two! Set in the midst of Plumas National Forest, Paxton is very secluded. Walking distance to the beautiful Feather River and our own private sand beach. Hiking, swimming and tubing. Close to Lake Almanor, Bucks Lake, the quaint towns of Quincy and Belden, snowshoeing, fishing and many other outdoor activities. We also have a Little Tree Library with books for all ages, or little games to play. Plus, we include many lawn games right here on the historic Paxton Lodge property.

This impeccably clean and updated cabin in the woods is the perfect mountain retreat! It features a completely open living space on the main floor with modern appliances, and a cozy woodstove. The master bedroom has a gas stove and a new master bath with tiled shower, soaking tub, and wood vanity. The second bedroom has a queen and set of bunk beds. Enjoy the spacious back deck, complete with a hot tub.The upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and set of twin bunkbeds and a small half bathroom.

Cozy Boho Cottage

Our little cottage is just right for a couple, or single guest who wants a relaxing space for exploring Chester and surrounding areas. We have a full kitchen. The bathroom & shower is small. The bedroom has a queen sized bed, and a TV. The living room has a 50 inch TV. The main source of heat is a wood stove (wood is provided) we also have 2 portable heaters. The house is small and only 500 sq ft. It is located in the back, behind another house. Parking area is in front of the cottage.
