Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Just a four minute walk to Hopkins Landing, where a dock and sandy beach await. It’s the perfect place for kids of all ages (and their dog!), to play or just relax!

VillaLoma private suite w/ mountain & ocean views

Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun. There are two large sun-filled bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a kitchen, dinning room and living room. There’s also a third bedroom with a sofa bed for a 5th person or use it as a kids room ( we have portable crib/pack n play, a bassinet and a toddler's matresd). All rooms overlook the gardens with mountain and ocean views. This is a self contained suite in the first level of the house we live on the second floor.

The "Love Shack" is the perfect get away for a couple or a pair of close friends! Nestled in the woods you will find a rustic cabin with cedar skin siding. Endless hot water on demand and electric fire place make for a cozy feel in the winter. The deck is an ideal space to sit and enjoy a beverage! Enjoy a comfortable sleep with memory foam mattress and feather duvet! Close to a great network of local biking trails. We are less than two minutes from the ferry terminal by car. Propane BBQ!

Welcome to our Oasis Overlooking the Salish Sea. West Coast living at its finest! We are located in Gibsons, BC on the Sunshine Coast. Enjoy a massive sun deck that overlooks the Salish Sea, Gambier Island and surrounding mountains. Step out to a large yard with plenty of fresh air, peace and tranquility, a courtyard and a fire pit. Private suite inside of a 3 storey house located within 30min walking (some may find it challenging) distance of the Langdale Ferry Terminal. In the lovely town of Gibsons, it is only a 40 min ferry ride from West Vancouver. Along with fantastic views it offers many great features such as hot tub for your private use available from October 1 to June 30 only. We also have electric car charger available on-site. Step back in time with a stay at our newly renovated historic beachfront property on the Sunshine Coast. Grantham House was once a bustling community hub as the local post office and general store, and beginning in the 1920's, a favoured summer stop of the Union Steamships Company.
