The Guest House

The Guest House is a primitive cottage and resides on 400 acres outside of Barnesville, Georgia. Bunn Ranch is a working cattle and sheep farm. This space is a two story primitive cottage with primitive artwork and a claw foot tub. Sit in your choice of antique rockers that have been collected over the years. The floors and stairs were salvaged from an old home that was here on the farm. Surrounded by rolling hills and close to town, come enjoy some time for YOU! We will consider STR students.

The 83 acres include walking trails, plenty of wildlife, and so much to explore. The diverse surroundings and rolling landscape give flashes of God's creation at every turn. The pond is stocked with fish and invites birds and other animals. The creekside paths wind for hundreds of yards, offering peaceful walks along its banks. The home has large porches along with plenty of windows for scenic views. Everything about the house is new yet feels like it's been nestled in the woods for decades.

This updated home has flexible sleeping arrangements for 8, with a terrific view of the lake and a wrap around deck facing the lake. You will have 2 kayaks to explore Lake Wildwood a 186 acre private lake , Perfect place to enjoy peace and quiet, relax observe nature. From this home base you are about 1.5 hours from Atlanta airport. Home is not for gatherings of more than 8 people or more than 3 vehicles in driveway, location is a quiet residential area with constant security rounds.

Ocmulgee River Timber Frame Treehouse

Welcome to our beautiful timber frame treehouse! Hand-built by local carpenter David Green, this work of art overlooks the Ocmulgee River. Our two-story dwelling has two porches, a lofted bedroom (full bed) a living area (window seat/bar/twin bed) and kitchen area (foot-powered cast iron sink, outdoor camp stove, prep area, dishes, cookware, and more). As it sits currently (summer 2025), there is not an indoor restroom. We do have a camping style toilet (Luggable Loo) available.
