We are next to a >1400 acre nature preserve with 5 miles of trails. Appalachian Trail (McAfee Knob), Blue Ridge Highway, Smith Mountain Lake, James River, wineries, breweries, shopping are close by. 18 min to Roanoke College and 40 minutes to Virginia Tech. We have some surprises for you at Gateway Cottage! We hope you'll come share them. It's the historic homeplace for a family of seven who lived here for 100 years. It's now a blend of farmhouse and contemporary. This cottage is also a blend of country and town, with plenty of space to spread out, relax, walk our 3 acres, view mountains, and watch the deer. Need something you might have at home? I bet we've thought of it! You'll be surprised to find how well-equipped Gateway Cottage is.

Come stay at the heart of our working cattle and sheep farm! Located directly off of Route 40 in Ferrum, Lillie's Place is nestled in between cattle pastures. Lillie's Place offers a quiet and relaxing get away spot. The views are amazing! Lillie’s Place offers a beautiful display of artwork by the talented Kelli Scott!

Peaceful tiny house with amazing view of Sharp Top Mountain! Features: hot tub, outdoor dining area, small kitchenette amenities, and smart-tv w/firestick (must use your hotspot to stream). 10 min to BR Parkway, Peaks of Otter, and Claytor Nature Center. Wineries, orchards, and hiking nearby. Friendly dogs may occasionally visit from my mother’s house next door. The ducks and chickens stroll around and deer visit too. Kick back and relax in this cozy, quiet and stylish space in the woods.

The enormous screened porch is where you will want to relax and enjoy the views. 3/4 mile to SML State Park(beach, hiking, biking, boat ramp), 4 miles to Parkway Marina, 1/2 mile to Mariners Landing Golf Course. Plenty of parking for multiple vehicles and a loop driveway if you’re towing boats. 2 queen and 2 twin beds. Fully equipped kitchen, cozy living room with smart TV and fireplace, 400Mbps WiFi. 18th Century Cabin Retreat

Come enjoy our 18th century cabin! They don't make them like this anymore. One side built in 1750, the other in 1825. Sit under the giant white oak and enjoy the country air. This is a wonderful retreat to kick back and relax. Enjoy the pool, horseshoes, and fire pit. In the winter months, cozy up by the wood stove or fire place with gas logs. NO PETS!!! Please do not bring your pets. Owners live on site, so if you are in need of anything, please ask!
