The Sugar Shack - Pet-Friendly A-Frame w/ Hot Tub

Escape to The Sugar Shack, a private A-Frame retreat tucked into the woods outside Sussex, New Brunswick. Unwind in the hot tub beneath the stars (open year-round), enjoy quiet mornings with coffee on the deck, and relax by the fire after a day exploring Poley Mountain, Fundy Park, and the surrounding trails. Perfect for couples, small families, and pet-friendly getaways. Guests consistently describe The Sugar Shack as peaceful, spotless, and the perfect place to disconnect and recharge.

Black Bear Lodge

We require 24 hours notice when booking. The lodge is 15 minutes from Fredericton city limits in Noonan approximately 2 km in the woods on a private road. It runs on solar and wind power with backup generator. We offer skating, snowshoeing, hiking and boating depending on the weather. Fishing is also offered at an additional cost. There is a stand up shower and sink in the bathroom with hot and cold water as well as a toilet, a propane stove and fridge in the kitchen. Woodstoves for heat.
