South Cottage, Orton is a 2 bedroom cottage situated 6 miles from The Lake District National Park and nestled within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Orton itself is very popular and is situated on the famous Coast to Coast route. It has an award winning cafe and a chocolate shop, a monthly farmers market, a village store and a village pub! The 16 century cottage has been in my husbands family since Elizabethan times . It has a private south facing garden .Beautifully furnished with antique furniture It’s a truly magical little cottage and feels like you have stepped back in time . A deep bath . Log burning stove . Period furniture . What’s not to like. Situated just outside Hawes a 5 minute walk ! Or walk over the field in less time . River walks from the door step . And if you’re lucky you might see the red squirrel’s .

This charming cottage, oozing with character, is set in a quiet corner of the old part of the delightful market town of Settle.
