Our cosy cottage, presumed to be from the 18th century, resides in the charming town of Beccles, Suffolk. Nestled in its core, the cottage is conveniently close to Norfolk, making it an ideal base for exploring both counties. Additionally, it offers easy access to the town center, making strolls to the heart of Beccles a brief and enjoyable experience. With its location and amenities, the cottage is perfect for those seeking to venture into the picturesque countryside of Suffolk and Norfolk.

The Straw Chalet

Immerse yourself in a naturally built building. Made of straw bales with earthen plaster in its own enclosed garden. It is snug and cosy. There are lovely evening sunset views from the terrace. It is very private and quiet apart from wildlife. An ideal place to come and escape it all in-front of the log fire. Parking is at the main house and gate. There is mains water and electric but no wifi. There is a compost loo which we will explain to you when you arrive! Dogs welcome for a small fee.

Semi-detached one bedroom Cottage with views over the river. Situated 1 minutes walk to the Beccles open air heated public swimming pool and only 3 minutes walk to the vibrant town centre and river. Accommodation is on three levels with a large double bedroom, kitchen diner leading to the shower room and toilet, and lounge area containing a double sofa-bed. A conservatory off the lounge leads to a utility room with downstairs toilet and a south facing patio area. Off-road parking included.

You and your dog/s can enjoy a private enclosed meadow to sit and watch the wildlife fly over head. Dip your feet in the River Waveney situated alongside the dog friendly village pub, a mere 5 mins walk away or stroll along to the woods. Your young child/ren too can experience glamping, we can set up a chair bed with a mattress topper for a cosy stay. Den building in the meadow will be a delight as they embrace nature around them. Ours is a quirky home, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms a lounge (with wood burner)and kitchen diner. The Annex is nestled in the woods conveniently located for the broads, Beccles, Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth. Our closest beach, Gorleston is a 10 minute drive away. In a very peaceful setting, we hope you will be able to unwind and relax. The Annex can be arranged as 2 superking bedrooms, or 1 superking and 1 twin. With your own entrance you will be totally independent.

Our accommodation is self-contained; a living space with two sets of French doors giving views over fields stretching for miles including a wood burner, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, oven and hob. A bedroom that sleeps two in a super king bed with French doors overlooking fields. A large bathroom with a large walk-in shower.
