Our two-door "saddlebag" cabin is surrounded by the Daniel Boone National Forest in the town of McKee, a Kentucky Trailtown. Nestled in a small valley, our quaint cabin is the perfect mountain getaway. Built in 1894, by the Lakes family, it has a romantic, rustic and nostalgic feel. If you are a history buff, interested in Appalachian culture, or just want a charming, outdoorsy and secluded getaway, this cabin is for you.

Both rooms also have their own staircases, one that leads into the kitchen and the other into the living room. There is also a 2-mile hiking trail, a pond, and 2 barns on the property.

Travel in this area can be tricky in winter. The cabin is located in a deep valley and the grade is steep. Pay particular attention to the weather for travel in both directions. If it snows, AT ALL, please consider cancelling your reservation. Your money will be fully refunded.
If it snows and you still want to come, be extremely careful. Unless you are VERY experienced driving on snow AND have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, do not attempt this journey.
