The Retro Room is nostalgic, perfect for the solo or couple traveler. It has its own private entrance from the backyard. The interior door is locked and attached to the kitchen of the main home. Within the room you will be greeted with old school games, video games, VHS tapes, cookies, tea, and coffee to enjoy. The bathroom has a walk in shower and you can warm up or cool off with your personal unit! This is one of 3 suites that are a part of the century+ old home, full of character!

We live a block from Market Street and a stone's throw from New Hanover High School. We are within walking distance to the riverfront downtown (exactly 1 mile), a few blocks from numerous businesses and eateries, and live in a diverse area with a newly restored historic brick road on our block.

Hi-Wire Brewing (family friendly, lots of things to do there), Folk's Cafe (local cafe, very popular with the locals), Vigilant Hope Roastery, The Metro Closet (consignment), Domino's Pizza, Retroscape (Vintage Video Game lounge), Cugino Forno (AMAZING pizza), Fit for Fun ($5 all day play for kids), Wallace Park and Robert Strange Park (great for kids), White Front Restaurant (old school vibe, breakfast and lunch), Crofton's Pretzels (veteran owned, amazing fresh stuffed pretzels), and more.

If you do not like city life, this is not the airbnb for you.

I am a devoted husband and father to our 2 boys (12-9-19, 11-21-21), a spirited rescue hound, Myles, as well as cat, Azalea. Our family loves to camp, travel, hike, and bicycle. Anything outdoors, we're there. My wife was a local school teacher (now on break for baby) at a middle school a few blocks away and also volunteers her time as her school's Trailblazer Running Team coach. She is also an avid runner. I work as a videographer. Together we own Pierce Productions, a videography and photography business. We love capturing what's most important to others!

I also opened a vintage video game lounge just blocks away from our place. We are at 1123 Princess Street, called "Retroscape". We have video games from the 70s-2000s, gamer grub, knick knacks, and vintage clothing. Come on in and I will give you some free play time!!!

We have completely renovated our quaint, cozy, and private upstairs apartment area (bird's nest) and 2 downstairs rooms (zen den, and retro room) and are happy to offer them to those visiting the beautiful city of Wilmington and surrounding areas.

We see ourselves as very accommodating hosts, but never nosy. If you need us, we are there, and if you want your space, we totally dig it!
