The Riverside cabin is a truly hand-built home, made with love from the woodland that surrounds it.. A rustic Cornish getaway, only 15 minutes from Falmouth. With the sound of the wind in the leaves, the tinkling water and the crackling fire to relax you. We hope you will have a wonderfully memorable time.
The Cabin is set in a lovely woodland garden, with a firepit for outdoor cooking, swings and a stream to paddle in. It is situated next to a stream and woodland, near a quiet country road with great access to creeks, cliffs and beaches of Cornwall
The Cabin is just off a rural road between the thriving seaside/ harbour town of Falmouth, and the creeks and fishing villages of the Beautiful Helford River and the Lizard peninsula.

Tack....

With aged oak and natural tones the barn welcomes your tired feet to a stress and city-free escape. On the route between Falmouth and the Helford River, it comfortably fits a couple with a child.
This south facing barn offers year-round accommodation with self catering facilities for those who prefer an independent break. It comfortably accommodates 2 adults and a child; with a large double bedroom and small single room. (The bedrooms are within the pitch of the roof and may not be comfortable for someone over 6'2".) The spacious open plan kitchen/lounge has solid oak flooring and modern cooking facilities with more than adequate space for evenings in. The paneled bathroom is fitted with a shower, WC and basin, with a stone tiled floor and underfloor heating. The utility is fitted with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Guests will be provided with hand and bath towels along with a welcome pack including the essentials needed for self catering. We're willing to provide advice, so please don't hesitate to ask us recommendations for activities or restaurants. We live next to the barn and will be present most of the time.
Pennance Mill is a rural hamlet on the road between Falmouth and Mawnan Smith, with country walks and beaches nearby. It's only a short bus journey or taxi trip into Falmouth, which would cost no more than a few pounds.

A stylishly furnished king-sized annex overlooking the garden with its own private entrance. The room is at the back of our Victorian townhouse and has its own ensuite shower room and a private parking space. It is located in central Falmouth close to the town centre, beaches, rail stations and some of the university campus buildings. It is ideal for couples, parents visiting their kids at university and business travellers. Please note there's no breakfast, only tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
The room and its ensuite are in an annex with its own private entrance through the garden. Guests are welcome to use the garden. Please note that there are no cooking facilities, but there is a small silent fridge. It is a quiet and comfortable space for a good nights sleep with its king-sized bed and blackout curtains. There is a private ensuite with walk in shower. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap and towels are provided. There is a 'storage corridor' with plenty of room to put suitcases etc and guests can hang clothes on hooks and hangers. There is a completely silent fridge, a DAB radio/bluetooth speaker next to the bed, and a desk to work at, or to sit and drink a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Please note that no breakfast is provided, but you are welcome to bring your own things to eat, or there are plenty of lovely cafes for breakfast in Falmouth close by.
The house is near the town centre, so there are a lot of great restaurants and some nice independent shops within easy walking distance, and a Tesco supermarket less than 5 mins walk into town. There are fab independent cafes called Espressini and Good Vibes Cafe close by which do great breakfasts and coffee, or there is a Wetherspoon pub/restaurant 2 mins walk into town which does a good full English breakfast for very little money. Or I can recommend Gylly Beach Cafe for breakfast - it is only 20 mins walk and literally on the beach!

Lovely, snug flat perfect for two guests looking to hide away somewhere in the middle of Falmouth, with gated parking and outside seating area overlooking the harbour.
Falmouth is well known for its waterside activities, and lively town vibe; and this flat gives great access to both. It's bang smack in the middle of the town, right on the water, and has the rarest of advantages in town - its own parking spot, which is inside a secure gated area. Newly refurbished, it's clean, warm and comfortable, but also (hopefully) tastefully kitted out with some home comforts. For sunny days, you won't be found wanting for access to any number of activities, safe in the knowledge that your car doesn't need to move after x number of hours. Regular activities on the main town squares are within easy walking distance, boat trips from the pier are on your doorstep, and the ferry to St Mawes less than 100 metres away. For rainy days, there's the telly with access to Sky...plus a variety of board games...and a PS3 with some old school classics...not to mention the bookshelf...or DVDs. Lastly, I do love a good coffee, so there's a nice Nespresso machine here to be used.
Falmouth is a year-round vibrant town, unique to Cornwall in that there is the omnipresent university crowd who give the area its energy. Three great beaches, countless good eateries, river cruises, fishing trips, walking routes of any length, pubs-a-plenty, and near to any number of days out...this town really is a great centre to a south Cornwall break.

Tucked away on the banks of the River Fal, our secluded, wild location is one of the most unique settings in Cornwall. At the heart of the venue is the 300 year old Lost Cottage of Penperth. In addition there are 4 individual accommodation pods; the Treehouse, Potting Shed, Hunting Lodge and Shepherd's Hut. Set within an ancient oak woodland in a private creek, the scene is wild, creative and peaceful. It is the perfect getaway for big groups, families, friends, corporate and more.
There are 18 beds in total: the Treehouse (Sleeps 2), Potting Shed (4), Hunting Lodge (Sleeps 2), Shepherd's Hut (Sleeps 2) and the Cottage (Sleeps 8). Our adventurous venue has a large fire pit, long outdoor feast table, hammock area overlooking the river, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen including clay pizza oven and gas hobs. There are two toilets, two hot outdoor showers, a washing up area, as well as a large versatile barn, with wood burner and indoor seating; perfect for parties, dining, reading and relaxing. All this plus acres of woodland to roam and wild swimming in the river. The Fal estuary is also the perfect spot for kayaking, canoeing or fishing if you have your own equipment, or subject to availability, we can contact local companies to take groups out on the river in Canadian Canoes or offer kayak hire direct from our creek.
The Roseland Peninsula is a beautiful, peaceful part of Cornwall. The King Harry Ferry (also known as the moving bridge) makes it extremely accessible to Truro and Falmouth. The Roseland hosts some of the best beaches on the south coast (Porthbeor, Towan, Porthcurnick and Pendower just to name a few). All great for swimming and beach days and all within 15 minutes drive from our venue. Local villages such as Portscatho and St Mawes provide convenience stores, pubs, restaurants and cafes as well as picturesque views of the coastline. Boat trips from St Mawes to Falmouth run daily and frequently all year round (except in very bad weather). The Fal river - where we are based - is one of the deepest natural harbours in the world. It boasts beautiful scenery and wildlife. We highly recommend including some time on the river during your stay.

There are beautiful walks and trails nearby through the AONB, and the famous sub-tropical gardens of Trebah + Glendurgan.

    Falmouth, Cornwall, Storbritannien

A peaceful retreat deep in the countryside, but only 15 minutes from Falmouth and the coast, the ideal base for the best that Cornwall has to offer: sea sports, walking, music venues, creekside bars, great eateries. Then come home to a super king-size bed, a log fire, big sofa, big quiet luxury. Please note - we now have super fast broadband and re-charging facilities if you have an electric vehicle.
Owl House, Constantine was once the heavy horse stables in a courtyard of mid 19th century farm buildings. It is now our lovely, light guest accommodation, suitable for one or two in the super kingsize double bed. We also have a travel cot for babes in arms. Owl has a living room/kitchen with huge stone arched windows and a high ceiling. There is a woodburning stove, comfy seating and dining - and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher etc. The bedroom has a superking size bed, the bathroom a bath with overhead shower. The double doors from the bedroom lead out to a small private patio garden planted with herbs and lavender. Across the yard, there is a little laundry with washer and dryer, and the machines are exclusively for our guests' use. We supply cotton bedding, feather duvet, thick towels and a welcome tray which includes basics like tea, ground coffee, milk, eggs, bread, butter, cheese - and a few other treats. This is no longer a working farm, but you will have access to the field and wood which make up our holding. We live in the barns next to Owl - and also have our studios there. We are very happy to advise on activities, music venues, sports facilities, where to eat etc. Life drawing sessions may be running during your stay - and you would be welcome to come along and draw or paint, for a small fee. This is a quiet place, surrounded by trees, where at night you can see the stars and listen to the owls hoot. A footpath runs past the yard and into the village of Constantine, a walk of about 2.5 miles, over stiles and through bluebell woods. Constantine has a couple of grocery shops, including the very famous Constantine Stores with its amazing stock of spirits and wines. There is also a community centre with a theatre, music and film programme - and a cafe. The much valued Trengilly Wartha pub is on the other side of the village. We reckon we have the best of worlds - beautiful countryside, but in a quarter of an hour we can be in town or by the sea. There is no public transport nearby. Nearest buses in the village of Constantine. Nearest train station 5 miles away in Penryn or Falmouth.
We live in the countryside, but 2.5 miles away is the traditional Cornish village of Constantine with two pubs, general shops and the celebrated arts and museum venue, the Tolmen Centre.

We have enjoyed creating a stylish cosy guest space that fits in with it’s beautiful rural surroundings. Buzzard Outlook is situated in the hamlet of Porth Kea in an area of outstanding natural beauty, close to the backwaters of Coombe and Cowlands Creek. The picturesque Roundwood Quay is also very close by and a hidden gem. An ideal location for walkers, cyclists and for those who enjoy being in touch with nature. A tranquil, peaceful break away from the town or city centre (2 miles away).
The stylish open plan configuration is on one level with a fully fitted kitchen and dining area; the space is exceptionally light and airy with a modern yet cosy feel. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, cooker with ceramic hob and a coffee machine to provide our guests with those added extras. The property also offers a wood burning stove, double seater sofa with footstool and a flatscreen smart TV, free Wi-Fi and Netflix. The bedroom accommodates a comfortable king-size bed, flatscreen smart TV and ensuite shower room.
Buzzard Outlook is conveniently placed for exploring the north and south coast, tucked away in a very peaceful location set in rolling open countryside just 2 miles south of Truro. The National Trust 's Trelissick Gardens is within easy reach for keen walkers or cyclists, as is the King Harry Ferry that takes you across to the breathtaking Roseland peninsula. A car is recommended for exploring the Roseland Peninsula; a bike is also an option for the keener cyclist! The Cathedral City of Truro with it’s pretty cobbled streets and beautiful architecture is 2 miles away. It has plentiful shops, restaurants and coffee shops as well as a Farmer’s market every Saturday and Wednesday at Lemon Quay. It’s beaches: Gylllngvase, Swanpool and Maenporth can be found where kayaks and paddle boards are available for hire to explore the coastline from the water. Gyllyngvase beach café comes highly recommended, as does Hooked On The Rocks fish restaurant at Swanpool beach and The Cove at Maenporth. The Wheel House is an amazing shell fish restaurant in Falmouth and extremely popular with the locals. The Meat Counter is great for Burgers, Rick Steins for Fish and Chips and The Ranch for a good Sunday Roast or Steak. The Pandora - a renowned creekside Inn, is in a picture postcard setting with it’s thatched roof, low beamed ceilings and traditional flagstone floors. It can be reached by car in approximately 15 minutes. The stunning sandy beaches on the north coast are circa 10 miles away: Perranporth, Porthtowan and Chapel Porth attract surfers and offer great beach bars too. Mawgan Porth and Watergate Bay are also great beaches for surfing and not to be missed. Take a trip to Lelant St. Ives from Truro train station and visit the Porthminster Cafe, voted one of the top 10 beach cafés in The Times. You will have to book in advance! My place is close to Falmouth and Truro on a tidal creek of the river Fal. . You’ll love it because of its beautiful, quiet setting yet convenient location to explore Cornwall. Little Narabo is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families . The 2 storey accomodation is annexed to my home with an acre of beautiful gardens for you to enjoy. Plenty of room for car parking . Piano in your living area. I am a qualified aromatherapist offering Indian Head massage.
Little Narabo is a hidden gem up a leafy lane close to the village of Devoran which has a popular pub and a village hall which hosts many events. I have lived and raised my children here and the creek at high tide is lovely for swimming and boating. There are many beautiful walks to explore from the doorstep while the beaches of the north and south Cornish coast are a short drive away. For shopping we are 10 minutes to the county town of Truro and 15 from the port and University town of Falmouth. The nearest shop which has its own butchers and bakery is in the neighbouring village of Carnon Downs . Relatives and friends who have stayed with us always remark on the comfort of the beds and the lovely linen. Guests have access to a washing machine during their stay.
Devoran and this area of the Fal is unique in that it is classed as an area of outstanding natural beauty but is not over-run by tourism . The community has much to offer visitors with a good pub serving local beers and food , a village hall with many events and a regatta. Devoran is on the cycle trail that runs from the north to the south coast . Bikes are available to hire locally.

Tack!

Bra !!!!

The property is a bungalow in a sunny south facing elevated position with 180 degree views of Restronguet Creek and overlooking the water. The tide is in two thirds of the time, ideal for birdwatchers. The Old Tram road below forms part of the mineral railways cycle track to the north coast. Falmouth is nearby with its sandy beaches, scenic river boat and marine watching trips. The north coast surfing beaches and a selection of gardens are a short drive away.
Perfect family holiday retreat with beautiful views with plenty to do within a few minutes drive, and a plethora of scenic walks from the doorstep in an AONB. The waterside property is quiet and peaceful, with no main roads anywhere near.
The property lies on the Old Tram Road which was a mineral tram road which is now a cycle route between the north and south coasts. Falmouth and Truro are equidistant around 6 miles away. The Old Quay Inn is around 20mins walk along the Old Tram waterside road. Loe Beach watersports centre where there is canoe, paddle board, sail boat hire and tuition and motor boat hire. Cycle hire is obtainable 2 miles up the Tram Road. The National Trust Gardens of Trelissick, and others are within a short drive as are the beaches at Falmouth or surfing at St Agnes. Wonderful walking from the property as well as nearby National Trust.

Possessing probably the most astonishing view of any holiday home in Cornwall, this former meteorological observatory is a unique place to stay. Offering 360 degree views of Falmouth, the whole of the Fal estuary and across Falmouth Bay, you will be mesmerised both day and night. Presented to the highest standards, providing luxury accommodation, this is a very special place to stay.
Set on a hill, overlooking town, sea and river, The Observatory Tower occupies the highest point in Falmouth. It was built in 1868, as a meteorological observatory, where people could watch and identify incoming weather. Originally it had a parapet wall on top. Unfortunately The Tower went into disrepair over the years and was eventually sold at auction in 2009, when the new owners set about its complete renovation, restoring wherever possible. They were keen to keep the restoration as sympathetic to its heritage, while also updating it for the 21st century, to make it a luxurious and comfortable modern holiday home with every amenity you could possibly wish for. Located close to the heart of Falmouth, it is just a short 6 minute walk down the hill to the famous National Maritime Museum Cornwall as well as all the attractions, restaurants and pubs along Falmouth's historic waterfront. Highlights include Rick Stein's Fish & Chip shop and Oyster Bar. You could also enjoy a leisurely pint of local brew outside the Chain Locker pub overlooking the Custom's House Quay! If you fancy spending some time on the beach, the sand at Gyllyngvase is about a 12 minute walk away. Accommodation Ground Floor: A private bedroom, with 4'6" bed and TV, complete with ensuite wet-room & WC, is situated on the ground floor. There is a separate utility room which leads to a small external courtyard at the rear of the property. First floor: On the first floor is a flexible space used as a living room, but easily converted to a second bedroom when the wall bed (4'6") is pulled down. This allows up to 4 people to be comfortably accommodated. There is a separate bathroom with overhead shower & WC. Second floor: The kitchen on the second floor is both functional and interesting at the same time. The history of The Observatory Tower is depicted through photographs, plans and original weather reports, set behind a glass splashback. A bright and airy space, with rooftop views over Falmouth to north, south, east and west. Third floor: The main living room on the 3rd floor, with its large picture window overlooking Falmouth Bay, is a precursor to the top floor. Its funky sofa was specially designed to fit the space, with fabrics chosen to reflect the changes in the weather. Fourth floor: After scaling the 66 steps to the top, the observation deck on the 4th floor is what this building is all about. The 360 degree views are breathtaking and if you don't know what you are looking out at, the pelmet art above the windows will help you identify local landmarks. On this floor there is a wine fridge, a sink and facilities for making hot drinks which you can enjoy whilst taking in the wonderful views. Facilities & Services Heating is via under floor heating throughout the property. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a range of modern equipment. There is an electric oven & hob, toaster, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave & dishwasher. There is boiling water on tap in both the kitchen and observation deck. The separate utility room has a washer dryer. In the living room there is a large flatscreen digital TV & DVD player. There is also a TV in the master bedroom. There is WiFi available at the property. There is an iron & ironing board. Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, bed linen & towels are all included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. On street parking is available nearby. Regrettably no dogs are permitted. Strictly no smoking is allowed. Please note that due to the nature of the building, the property is not suitable for children under the age of 12. Please also note that there are many stairs in the property and some are a little narrow in places. General Booking Information Arrival / Departure is normally on a Friday. Short breaks are available during quieter periods. £200 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.
Falmouth, the sailing capital of Cornwall, is renowned for being the third deepest natural port in the world, a haven for both cruisers and racers offering the sailor the last major port before the 12 hour crossing to the Isles of Scilly. Visitors to the Port will find the town teeming with coastal treasures, ranging from fish restaurants and boat trips to The National Maritime Museum, Cornwall next to Port Pendennis. Pendennis Castle built in the 16th Century sits high above the harbour with truly magical panoramic views across the bay. You can ride one of the Fal River Link Ferries to the beautiful St Mawes and visit Henry VIII’s sister castle or take a delightful trip around the estuary stopping off at either Trelissick Gardens or Smugglers Cottage for a cream tea. Falmouth Regatta Week, in August is the town's major event both on and off the water, fireworks and the recent addition of the Red Arrows provides a spectacular back drop for some high class racing. Later in the year the Oyster Festival shows off the rivers heritage to the full. Pendennis Shipyard host luxury yachts for re-fit and and in June 2012 Falmouth will host the J Class Regatta, the most spectacular event since the Tall Ships Race last visited in 2008. There are plenty of places to eat & drink in Falmouth and recently Rick Stein brought his Fish & Chip Restaurant & Oyster Bar to Discovery Quay adding to the superb mix across the town.

Sophie
