Sperryville, Virginia, USA

A beautiful old farm in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The 1880 farmhouse sits on a small stream that runs through the entire fifty-five acre property. The house is clean, minimally decorated, with pasture views out of every window. The farm is located 80 miles from Washington DC and just down the road from Sperryville, Old Rag Mountain, Skyline Drive and other local attractions. (Please contact me if you would prefer a one-night booking. I can usually accommodate you.)
A beautiful old farmhouse nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains on a small stream called Walnut Run. The house is clean, spacious and comfortable. The property is fifty-five acres of secluded rolling hills that are open for guests to explore. Walnut Run Farm is a one-man operation. I am doing my best to hold on to this truly unique and beautiful property. There are financial pressures to sell and or subdivide but what makes the farm special is that it is intact and retains its sanctuary-like privacy. The farm is perfectly sited along a little stream (Walnut Run) and sits in a bowl surrounded on one half by trees and views off to the pastures in other directions. There are the original outbuildings, including a spring house with pump, a smokehouse, a corn crib and a Virginia-styled barn. Work needs to be done everywhere around the farm. Everywhere! Each stay helps so much in preserving this truly special old farmhouse and property. Thank you - John
The farm is very close to Thornton Gap, an entrance to Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive. From the farm there is quick access to many of the noted hiking trails in the park, most notably Old Rag Mountain and White Oak Canyon. Continuing on past the entrance to Shenandoah National Park is the city of Luray, known for Luray Caverns, a national landmark. A bit further on is the Shenandoah River where there are river outfitters for rafting and canoeing.

Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, 2 miles outside Shenandoah National Park, and just off main street in Sperryville, our cozy efficiency apartment is close to a variety of attractions. The unit is fully furnished with a full bath, kitchen, off street parking, and entrance. We're just a short drive to the park or a short walk to downtown Sperryville.
Originally a 19th century barn that was later converted into two apartments, we offer a queen size bed, open layout, with a full kitchen and bath. Please note there is little to no cell service in and around Sperryville. The main house (built in 1916 and affectionately known as Boo Boo's House) sits right next door just off Main Street. Get away from it all and enjoy the mountains in the heart of Sperryville and Rappahannock County with its antique shops, art galleries, wineries, and world famous restaurants.
Sperryville is a charming little village. Full of character (and characters!) So much to do in such a tiny town. Wonderful restaurants, antiques and galleries abound.Along with wineries, we have Brew Pubs and a local distillery. Not to mention all the natural beauty that surrounds us. Friendly and beautiful community!

On Main Street in charming Sperryville, this Bed, Breakfast and Ale Works is within walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars, antique stores, a distillery and yet another brewery besides the one that is on site. All rooms have private en suite bathrooms, and also porches for relaxing and watching the town. Most have fireplaces to cozy up to in the Winter. The Rosemary Room is on the first floor and is handicap accessible. Its features are designed to help you relax: porch with rockers, a tub and shower, and a fireplace. The brewery in the cellar of the B&B, run by the innkeepers, draws guests and visitors alike. The beer garden can get lively with a fire pit in winter, but the brewery closes at 7 PM, so the evenings quiet down. As a guest, you can still get beer after hours, just talk to us in advance to arrange that. This is a bed and breakfast, offering all the amenities you expect in a luxurious B&B, with casual touches to make sure you are comfortable. The towels are highest quality and plentiful, bath amenities are supplied in self-branded packaging, the sheets are soft and the mattresses and pillows were purchased with thoughts of a blissful night's sleep. We supply a fresh, hot, full breakfast for you in the morning, and can serve beer from the on-site brewery any day of the week, even if the brewery is closed. We are a professional B&B with 13 years experience. We are fully licensed, insured and know how to meet your wishes. We live on-site, and are available to make recommendations on the best hiking trail for you, make dinner reservations, and provide maps and other suggestions to make your visit to the area perfect. Please note that taxes will be due upon arrival. Taxes, which are separate from Airbnb room charges and service fees, are not collected by Airbnb. Taxes that will be due are 9.3% of the total.
You have your own porch with rocking chairs, and also a fireplace to cozy up to in the Winter. The on-site brewery is open to the public some days, but beer is always accessible to guests by request.
Walking to everything in Sperryville is easy from Hopkins Ordinary, and Shenandoah National Park is in view and a short drive away.
