I highly recommend Energy Cardio on wellington street, they recently renovated and now boast a gorgeous lofty training gym for novice or the experienced gym bunny. You can sign up online when you arrive for a 3 or 7 day free trial, and they sometimes have monthly prices.

Sightseeing
Old port or "Vieux Port de Montréal" is one of the most beautiful places to visit. Old port is over 400 years old, and has most of it's original architecture. There are many amazing galleries featuring some of Montreal's most avant garde artists work. There are many incredible restaurants as well, I can suggest many!
