Delicious, modern Italian cuisine in West Seattle's downtown (The Junction). The beef tartare and Dungeness crab are both stellar, and all of the pasta dishes are inventive and memorable. Reservations recommended!

Some cities have tourist attractions that are kitchy and don't reflect the true spirit of the community. Seattle is not one of those cities and the Seattle Center is not one of those places. Is the Space Needle touristy? Yes. Does it still RULE? Definitely. Add to that the Museum of Pop Culture, the Chihuly Glass Museum, the Pacific Science Center, the KEXP radio station, and so many other attractions and you have a destination popular with visitors and locals alike. (Pro tip: eat lunch at Skillet in The Armory. The kale caesar with fried chicken will cure what ails you)
