In the apartment you will find a little bulletin board where you'll find names of other restaurants our different guests have suggested to try. The ones below are the ones I personally recommend
This is one of my favorite restaurants. Only a 10 min walk. Modern sophisticated interpretation of Portuguese food. Please make sure to ask the waiter for recommendations. You will also find Portuguese wine of very good quality.

This is really the place to go and observe families, old people, young people when they have a moment to relax. Outside you're sitting next to some of the most amazing trees I have ever seen in any city. Enjoy a drink, a light meal or just a snack. Musiciens are often sitting playing relaxing music.

Cafeh Tehran serve Persian food. They're close by and a good option if you're travelling with vegetarians and meat lovers together as there are choices for everyone. Usually they suggest a certain amount of dishes to share. I just like their style of food. The deserts are also really good, not too sweet.

The atmosphere is fun, a little noisy, but here you have a huge choice of food from all over the world. You sit at long tables in the middle of the market and you order food from the restaurants surrounding. You get a little beep, which will tell you when your food is ready. All family members or if you're travelling in a group can have exactly what suits each individual member.

I have spent many Tuesdays and Saturdays here. I love this historic flee market. If you have a good eye for little fun things at a reasonable price, then this is the place for you. Please be careful of pickpockets. If I have guests with me a take the historic tram 28 up there if you can squeeze yourself in.

A lot of people go to Sintra to see the multi style/coloured Pena Palace, but I absolutely recommend Sintra National Palace. Some of the oldest and most beautiful tiles and ceilings in Portugal. Easy to go to Sintra by train, but if you want to avoid the crowds go early in the morning or later in the afternoon

Close to sunset take the boat from Cais de Sodré to Cacilhas. It only takes 10 min. Once you arrive on the other side turn right and walk approximately 10 min along old scruffy warehouses until you end up at Ponto Final. Have a drink and enjoy the sunset. Be prepared it's not a fancy place, but the locals come here to watch the sunset and I never get tired of coming here.

Lisbon has many different neighborhoods, but I find these the most charming.
The Alfama neighborhood is very charming with all its' little streets. Alfama is the oldest part of Lisbon. It resisted the terrible earthquake in 1755

Principe Real is our neighborhood. I love the area due to the cute little parcs, good restaurants, cafes and classy shops. It is built on one of the 7 hills, so often you will suddenly have a great view either over towards Alfama or to the other side the River Tejo
