Food scene

This is our number one place for a special meal with a special view. Recommend a drink on the terrace with some cockle popcorn before dinner inside, and a view to die for.

A locally famous pub at the Eastern end of Golden Cap. A couple of open log fires make this the perfect spot after a blustery walk on the beach or up the Golden Cap (the highest point on the South coast!).

Lyme's ancient harbour dating back to the 14th Century. Once a significant port but now the place to find fishing trips, a cute aquarium and if you're lucky to spot a seal or dolphin!

Neighbourhoods

A walk around Lyme Regis's old town is highly recommended. Old fishing cottages are interspersed with interesting shops and galleries. Visit the Mill, which has lots of interesting tenants including a cafe, art galleries, a micro-brewery and a working hydro-electric mill. Further upstream see if you can spot the Banksy street art.......
