Straddling the South Saskatchewan River Valley at the west end of Lake Diefenbaker, the Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park celebrates the site of the first historic crossing on the South Saskatchewan River. A great area to be enjoyed by all ages, the park is popular for its fishing, sun-bathing and hiking opportunities. This park features a number of interpretive trails and historic sites including the handsome Goodwin House. The boat launch is located on the north side of the lake while the main beach area, located on the west side of the park, is a perfect place to enjoy a warm summer's day.

The Great Sandhills of southwestern Saskatchewan are a unique 1,900 sq. km area of active desert-like sand dunes. Native grasses and small clumps of trees such as aspen, willow and sagebrush flank the dune formations. Mule deer and antelope frequent the area.

Elmwood Park, one of the City’s oldest parks, is situated next to the Swift Current Creek, along the Chinook Parkway, on the corner of Chaplin Street and 9th Avenue North East. The stately trees in Elmwood Park create a nice canopy of shade in the large green space located in the park. This is a perfect locale for picnics or other social gatherings. It even has an outdoor gym!

Their weekly events and activities are fun and educational for all ages.
