Robertson Quay occupies roughly 50 hectares of Singapore River starting about 1.5 km from river mouth and ending near the Kim Seng Bridge. In the 1880s, the warehouses and wharfs are built in European and Chinese style. In 1990s, the URA (Urban Redevelopment Authority) made this area for hotel, commercial and residential uses. It is currently urbanized area filled with restaurants, pubs, cafes, condominiums, offices and other recreational facilities
