The World Mountain Bike Convention
Once a year, it is a must see. Bentonville is the host city and they go all out. Inviting some ranked riders to do tricks on a newly built (every year) course. It is amazing, whether you are a bike rider or not!

Walmart is close, and it is where they are based!
Lots of ways to save. We have a fairly low standard of living rate around here. Gas prices will be lower than most places. Picking up your own groceries and cooking in our fully outfitted kitchens will save you a lot!

We have all four seasons here
Pack light in the summer and heavy in the winter. The fall and spring are usually balmy. Bring something to get in the water, if you like that. 7 lakes, rivers all around. . . if it is warm enough enjoy our water features. Also, comfy shoes for a lot of walking. we have hundreds of miles of trails.

Be ready to enjoy some southern hospitality. This region is pretty conservative, but known for being friendly. You could meet someone, in line at the grocery store, and might be invited to dinner that night. haha

Branson is very close with some great theme parks, but the rest of the things outdoors, including water, trails, parks, etc., are tailor made for kiddos.
