A jewel in the crown of Torbay, the zoo is a great day out whether for the animals, play areas, train or the craft shop. Have been about 40 times!

A nice flat sandy beach. Like all of Torbay it is sheltered so receives much smaller waves than comparable parts of the coast. It is 15 minutes walk from Hoburne reception if you use your maps app to find the short cut.

We love going here for the multiple options available: you have the sea and beach, the pier arcades (try the Rabid Rabbits simulator!), the playground, a wide open park to play games in, multiple cafes, a great fish and chip shop on the pier, and even a cinema. Often in summer there is a funfair or circus here too. You can usually find parking at the seafront unless the fair is in town.

Often in summer there is a funfair or circus here too. You can usually find parking at the seafront unless the fair is in town.

Kids and adults can both try climbing at a safe height (bouldering) without the complication of ropes. Tea and coffee available too.

Great half day out for all the family with easy, medium and fast water slides. Some have rubber rings to ride too. You need to be ok with water slides, obviously. A wetsuit may be advisable to reduce bumps and cold but is not essential.

A walk around this historic estate can easily soak up an afternoon. There are lakes, woods, a working water mill, historic house and church, cafes, horse and carriage rides. Nearby Cockington woods and the Drum Inn broaden the appeal. There are various car parks.
