At the weekends in summer, the road is pedestrianised with tables all over, creating a lovely atmosphere to enjoy a chilled out afternoon.

Two minutes from the flat is St John's Hill, a great street with some amazing food and drink as well as a small supermarket for essentials.

Our nearest green space, lovely for a long walk or a picnic. Skylark Café in the middle of the Common does great coffee and food, and if you walk all the way to Bellevue Road at the far side, you'll find a lovely street with bars and restaurants.

One of London's best parks, with a great coffee shop and lots of space to wander, as well as a beautiful lake. It's about 20 minutes away from the flat - I recommend stopping at Doppio Coffee Warehouse on your way there.

Another lovely park near us, with its iconic bandstand and plenty of open space. A favourite for a picnic in the summer. If you walk through the park to Clapham Old Town, you'll find a lovely selection of shops and pubs. If you walk down to Northcote Road and then up Battersea Rise, you'll get to Clapham Common in about 15 minutes - stop at Bluebird for coffee en route.
