Mountaintop activities
Ober Gatlinburg is a year round destination with fun for the entire family. Take the aerial tramway down into downtown Gatlinburg or explore the sky mall and everything Ober has to offer at the top of the mountain. Take the scenic chairlift or sit and enjoy a meal at the Seasons of Ober restaurant and take in the mountain views. In the winter Ober Gatlinburg is the southernmost place to ski and snowboard. Snow tubing, indoor ice skating rink, and ice bumper boats are also activities available for families. There is fun to be had all 4 seasons at Ober.

The Cades Cove Loop winds for 11 miles through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a picturesque drive with a backdrop of the mountain peaks and its lush, rolling greens. Europeans settled the Cades Cove area between 1818 and 1821. Today, visitors to Cades Cove can enjoy the largest variety of historic buildings in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. When traveling the scenic loop road, plan to get out and visit the restored buildings that include three churches, log homes, cantilevered barns, and a working mill.
