Shawn and Mae are locals who produce their own maple syrup and maple candies, barbecue sauce, etc. And it's all for sale in their cute little Sugar Shack. definitely worth a stop while you're in town. We usually buy a gallon or two of their dark syrup each year. it sure beats the store-bought stuff.

Sightseeing
About a 45-minute drive from the cabin, this lighthouse has tours and shares history of the area. There's also a walking trail and you can enjoy the beautiful lake Huron beach. While you're in Tawas, you can head downtown where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. This makes a great day trip.
