This small but exceptionally scenic wilderness area is just a few miles west of the Schellraiser campground. Rugged, rocky canyons, high mountain peaks and ridges, evergreen forests and quaking aspen groves abound here; crowds do not.

This is, quite simply, one of our favorite places anywhere. The Terraces on the west side of the mountain are exceptionally scenic, with jaw-dropping limestone cliffs and gorges, mountain meadows, and colorful quaking aspen groves.
