Cape Point, the southwest tip of Africa, is one of South Africa’s most magnificent tourist attractions. It features breath taking views with sheer cliffs towering more than 200 metres above the sea. It was originally named the Cape of Storms by Portuguese explorer Bartholomew Dias in 1488 and renamed Cabo de Boa Esperanca (Cape of Good Hope) by King John II of Portugal later. The Cape Point Nature Reserve is recognised as a World Heritage Site and consists of 7750 hectares of fynbos-covered valleys with diverse flora and fauna, wild coves, unspoilt beaches and shimmering tidal pools.
For those who enjoy hiking we recommend a walk to Dias Beach or the new light house.

Explore the magnificent walk along the coast to Boulders Beach and you will discover several stunning beaches along the way, including Fisherman’s Beach and Windmill Beach which are both ideal for families.

The restaurant has a outdoor area with sea views looking out over the harbour and the sea, A perfect place for breakfast, lunch and dinner or a Sun-downer. I would recommend Saveur to my guests

It is great to have an excellent restaurant like this in Simon's Town that offers good food at a very reasonable prices. I recently had their Oxtail on a cold rainy night and it was superb. I would also recommend their calamari or Pizza's. In fact I have not been disappointed with any of the meals I have had there. I can recommend The Lighthouse Cafe to all my local and overseas guests. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and the service is friendly and efficient.

I can recommend The Lighthouse Cafe to all my local and overseas guests. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and the service is friendly and efficient.

Kayak Cape Town offer Sea Kayak Trips which leave from Simons Town Waterfront (3 km from SEAgetaway). Paddle the waters of False Bay with them and they will show you some amazing things. They paddle every day of the year, weather permitting. The winter months offer wonderful paddling because winter has more calm windless days than summer. On those days it is absolutely beautiful and there is always a chance of seeing whales. They offer trips from the sedate to the adventurous, but their most popular trip includes paddling to the penguin colony at Boulders Beach.
