Getting Around

The buses across the island, trains to Shanklin, fastcat and hover to Portsmouth all leave from the seafront. There is a also a car rental garage just up George Street.

Sightseeing

You have to! Cruises to the Needles via boat leave from Yarmouth Harbour run by Blackrock cruises. You can drive to the Needles car park and pay to park then walk to the Battery (you can go in but owned by National Trust) to get a view from the downs.

A lovely old street called Winkle Street with thatched cottages and has a stream running alongside it. It is down the hill from the main village. There is also a church and pub in the village as well as lots of beautiful walks. A little way away is Calbourne Mill you can pay to visit too.
