Food Scene
Great breakfast tacos! We're partial to the "Jess Special" - a migas taco, and "the otto". They're also known for their spicy "doña" green salsa which goes great on all breakfast options. They're only open until 3pm, so we recommend them for breakfast or lunch. The tacos here are slightly larger than traditional "street" tacos, but still small enough that we normally recommend 2 per person.

Tacos and Queso! Torchy's is an Austin icon, serving up tasty tacos with unique monthly specials and our favorite queso in town. We recommend trying the queso which has a little of their hot sauce and guacamole mixed in. They do have a secret menu that can be revealed with a quick google search - we'd recommend getting the "trailer park" a fried chicken taco and "making it trashy" by adding queso on top. Bring your appetite, the portions are not small and we'd recommend 1 taco per person especially if you're getting chips and dips.

Great tacos all day and all night. Great option for a late night stop on the way back from downtown. Tacos are a similar size to those at Tacodeli - and their "rage 2.0" breakfast taco is a favorite of ours.

Central Market is a local alternative to Whole Foods, great selection of produce and a decent on-site cafe. On weekends they often have live music and an outdoor eating area near their playground.
