This special place is free to the public and a great place to see lots of manatee, fish, sharks and such. They are attracted to the area because of the warm water coming off of the power plant. There's a board walk, educational building, and a walk way through the mangroves. Open only November to April! Located next to the Big Bend power plant.

Located next to the Big Bend power plant.
Busch Gardens is one of the best theme parks in Florida. It host an amazing array of roller coasters which you have a hard time riding all of them in one day. Their animal displays are also the best I have seen. You've got to ride the train across the veldt and the elephant encounter. There is a great section just for small kids which you could spend the entire day visiting. Also, be prepared to get wet for many of the rides. Awesome place.

10165 McKinley DrBusch Gardens is one of the best theme parks in Florida. It host an amazing array of roller coasters which you have a hard time riding all of them in one day. Their animal displays are also the best I have seen. You've got to ride the train across the veldt and the elephant encounter. There is a great section just for small kids which you could spend the entire day visiting. Also, be prepared to get wet for many of the rides. Awesome place.

Nice place to visit for all and learn the colorful history of the Tampa Bay area. Did you know Tampa was the cigar capital of the world? Then grab a bite to eat at the Columbia Restaurant located in the museum.

Parks & Nature
This park is great all around. It's got paved bike/walking trails, a dog park, an old fort and settlement area to explore, long fishing piers and great beaches including one for dogs. This is our families favorite place to visit if we are looking to fish or go to the beach. It is hot in the summer so be prepared with umbrellas. There are suitable bathrooms (rare for beaches) and outdoor showers to rinse off. Food/drink spots are found throughout the park. Our favorite beach area is by the old fort.
