Recommend using the train as it will take as long using a car and you dont have to find parking.
Jump on the train bound for Hurstbridge and South Morang, stopping at North Richmond (make sure the train stop at this station) and the restaurant is 100m from the station.

As far as for booze, there are also plenty in here; Groove, meshbar, the Merrywell, and again, the list goes on.....
