A lovely 30 minute country drive through pretty scenery is well rewarded by a visit to this secret garden, with indoor and outdoor eating and areas and excellent coffee, pick your own flowers and fruit also available. Find out the history of this quant place while you are there, as a family we used to buy veggies for Christmas dinner at the garden gate from the old gardener before it was all renovated and made into a public space.

Salisbury Cathedral is famous for the tallest medieval spire in Europe, if you have the energy and good knees you can climb it with a tour guide, in spring you might see the fledgling kestrels that nest up there every year.
