This urban park is a favourite for locals and visitors alike. The park is a beautiful place to connect with nature in the middle of the city. At 2,300 acres, Wascana Centre is a massive urban park and offers an abundance of nature to explore. Home to: 276 species of birds 36 species of mammals 6 species of fish 4 species of amphibians 2 species of reptiles 300 species of trees and shrubs 100 species of annuals 100 species of perennials (per Wascana Centre website) You will also find historic sites such as the Saskatchewan Legislative Building and the Queen Elizabeth II formal gardens. Don't miss the Royal Saskatchewan Museum either. For those looking to get out on the water and explore, visit the canoe kayak and rowing clubs (rentals available).
