Food scene
The Haleiwa Beach House is one of my favorite restaurants on North Shore Oahu. My favorite is the Poke Bowl with the catch of the day.

Maui Brewing Co. Waikiki is an awesome venue that I have been to on multiple occasions. The beer is fantastic and so is the food. The bar is a balcony style bar with live music and flaming torches surrounding the dining area. Standing on the balcony you can look down at the bustling streets of Waikiki. I would recommend trying the Jalapeño burger. It is my favorite.

Maui Brewing Co. Waikiki

The bar is a balcony style bar with live music and flaming torches surrounding the dining area. Standing on the balcony you can look down at the bustling streets of Waikiki. Bar 35 is a great casual bar to go to in china town. There is an indoor "Club" style area with a DJ and dancing. There is also an out door candle lit area with a bar in the back which I thoroughly enjoy during the week. The venue is packed on weekends after 10pm

Outdoor Activities
One of my favorite hiking trails is Koko Head. This trail is not for the faint heart. Once you get to the top of the historic site the views are absolutely breathtaking. Recommended: wear work out clothes and good running or hiking shoes. Bring water and a snack or energy bar for once you get to the top. Free parking is available at the base of the site. The best time to hike this trail is early morning. It is a bit crowded at times But still very enjoyable.

Koko Head Park RoadOne of my favorite hiking trails is Koko Head. This trail is not for the faint heart. Once you get to the top of the historic site the views are absolutely breathtaking. Recommended: wear work out clothes and good running or hiking shoes. Bring water and a snack or energy bar for once you get to the top. Free parking is available at the base of the site. The best time to hike this trail is early morning. It is a bit crowded at times But still very enjoyable.
This is the closest beach to my house. It is a great beach for pulling up a lawn chair and a cooler to relax. I am asked all the time what beaches are available that are nice but have minimal tourists. Well, here you go. Free parking is available. It is dog friendly. There are beach showers on site. The sand is clean and the water is about 4 to 5 foot deep in most parts. This is also a great beach for stand up paddling. You'll be able to relax on this quiet tranquil beach with the busy crowded beaches of Waikiki visible with the naked eye across the water.

Pu'uloa Beach Park

I am asked all the time what beaches are available that are nice but have minimal tourists. Well, here you go. Free parking is available. It is dog friendly. There are beach showers on site. The sand is clean and the water is about 4 to 5 foot deep in most parts. This is also a great beach for stand up paddling. You'll be able to relax on this quiet tranquil beach with the busy crowded beaches of Waikiki visible with the naked eye across the water.
Diamond Head Crater is a great hiking spot for all ages. It has multiple levels of complexity and gets more challenging as you go higher up the rim of the crater. There is a cool little pineapple and coconut drink stand inside the crater. Bring cash because entry to the park is a few dollars. If I remember correctly it was less than $5. Free parking is available but you have to hike into the park. Paid parking is available but limited inside the crater. I am not sure of the cost.

This tour is a great idea to do during your first few days on island so that you can get a better idea of the area. You may also spot places you'd like to visit while you're here. I have a good friend that works in the company and they have great reviews. I have not personally traveled or taken a tour with them, but I plan to do so in the near future.
