Citra has become on of the hotspots for Dinner in Ahangama with a middle eastern inspired menu. The owners and their chef is from Israel and the food is amazing. Lots of seafood. Good idea to make a table reservation.

The Doctors House has become the hotspot for Wednesday and Saturday day parties. On on good day there are hundreds of people in their massive garden and a good vibe. Try and make it there when there is the fortnightly market or a live band for great vibes and a couple of beers. Pizzas and some other meals are also to be found on their menu, counter order only and no reservations.

One of our favourite places of all time! They have good Mojitos, cider and cocktails! On their menu, they have wood-fired, stone oven baked pizzas, and fresh seafood, as well as good local food. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a late evening swim and see the sunset.

A2One of our favourite places of all time! They have good Mojitos, cider and cocktails! On their menu, they have wood-fired, stone oven baked pizzas, and fresh seafood, as well as good local food. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a late evening swim and see the sunset.
If you want to go local for a night, head to Tiki Bar for a sunset cocktail and walk across the street for a real rice and curry feast at Chef Akilas. Both places are locally owned and run, and perched on the cliff at Cape Weligama with beautiful ocean views. Make sure to book a table with Chef Akila at high season and warning for long waiting times for the food, ALWAYS.
