“A must do on the list. If you have never hiked the Hwy 2 trails this is the one. Its great for the whole family due to the fact that you drive the altitude. At the trail head the beauty starts with old growth trees spring/glacier streams and old slides that will take your breath away. Camping for the hardy hiker. Ends at Barclay lake where you can swim to cool off of do a little bouldering.”

Why Not? Stay in Gold Bar away from the crowds. Just 1.5 hour scenic and smooth drive to a great time. The drive alone is worth the trip. Good food along the way not to mention all the local artist set up on the roadside.
