This is one of the best places to visit on the island. Not only is it in a stunning location, with ample amount of outdoor seating (and a spiffy new indoor dining area), but the ciders are amazing (and popular all over the country) and the food is just as good. Highly recommend to come either to do a tasting flight during the day or dine at the restaurant at night.

Always popular and for good reason, Salt Spring Cheese is a must-see for the whole family! While the parking situation can be crazy (as well as the lines) during high season, it’s worth checking out as soon as it opens (that way the samples and stock won’t all be gone). Best goat cheese ANYWHERE, plus local artisan food. And there are goats and chickens to check out, and you can watch the cheese being made. In the summer they also act as a cafe where you can dine and order food and ice cream.

Some of the best beers around. They’ve gotten super popular over the years and have expanded to include a much-needed patio area where you can now have flights. Always part of the SSI sightseeing package!

Great coffee and the BEST breakfast sandwiches in the WORLD! PS if you’re getting a latte, make sure you ask for extra hot. They tend to be on the lukewarm side but still really good.

Sightseeing
Lovely local beach. Come early for sunshine and easier parking (it’s all street parking on narrow roads). By 3pm the sun is gone (tho the ocean may be a tad warmer). Great place to go paddle boarding and escape the crowds on the actual beach! If you would like to rent paddle boards from us, just let us know and we’ll meet you at the beach with them!

If you’re craving open skies and sunshine, the trails at Burgoyne Bay Provincial Park are the best on island! Weekends can be busy...I recommend parking at the first parking spot you see as it can get crowded the further down the road you go. Lots of farmland, fields, marsh, plus historic barns. A birders paradise.

Weekends can be busy...I recommend parking at the first parking spot you see as it can get crowded the further down the road you go. Lots of farmland, fields, marsh, plus historic barns. A birders paradise.
