Go early in the morning or late afternoon to have the best chance of seeing animals. Wear walking shoes as there are plenty of places to get out and walk around and check out historic landmarks. Bring a swimsuit during summer months and stop at the river just outside the entrance and go for a dip or go tubing!

Cades Cove

The 11 mile loop is closed to traffic on Mondays and Wednesday until 10:30 AM during warm months. You can rent bike and helmet from Cades Cove Campground Store. It took my family about 3 hours to complete this ride when I took my 4 children out on it when they were smaller. It is a great way to enjoy the cove!
