Nice clean space to hang out though it may not be an obvious place to have a stopover.

You can go all the way up to Fairhaven a quaint part of Bellingham.

Great little neighborhood park right on the lake with a beach. It has a little child play area. Great destination for a walk from the house it is about a mile to get there. It can get busy on sunny weekends.

It is a lovely state park with a great trail system a little beach on the lake. My go to place for trail running. They also have a few trails for mountain biking.
Just be aware to park inside the park you need a permit. Which is $10 for the day and $30 for the year. There is a ranger station close to main parking lot in the old gym.

I am not owning shares in Costco, but it is one of my favorite shops. There are multiple stores in the area and most with gasoline as well. So if you are a member you know what to do. If not feel free to ask. I seem to recall they only do a 10% mark up of items and you buy bulk.
