A 3 hour tour leaving most days at 9AM. This tour includes a ferry tour and guide to introduce you to the pride of the outer banks, our wild horses. After the tour your guide will point you to one of the best "shelling" beaches around. Here you can find the famous NC sand dollars along with tons of other kinds of shells! This is a walking tour once you get to the island and you'll be "hiking" around two miles over dunes and soft sand. Be prepared to work for your picture of our wild horses but it is so worth it!

Shackleford Banks Shelling & Wild Horse Expedition

Come see our local aquarium! A 30 minute drive from Beaufort the Pine Knoll Shores aquarium is a great rainy day activity. You can purchase your entry tickets ahead of time online. In addition to an entrance ticket you have the option to purchase a behind-the-scenes tour that includes a fish feeding and the opportunity to watch a shark feeding!

Cru is hands down one of our favorite spots. Wonderful coffee in the morning with a selection of breakfast sandwiches this place is a staple. My personal favorite is their pimento cheese sandwich toasted with bacon, lettuce and tomato. It is the only place that has ever made pimento cheese like my grandmother. Offering a bar and wine store next door let's face it this place has all of the essentials :).
