Outdoor shopping outlets with many great shops. Only 10 minute drive from my property. If you don't fancy shopping grab a nice crepe or hot chocolate and soak in the atmosphere.

This site is one of the earliest documented Irish Christian places of worship and was most likely a significant ceremonial site since pre-Christian times. St Brigid’s Cathedral, located in the heart of Kildare town, occupies one of the most significant ecclesiastical sites in Ireland and is the site most associated with Ireland's most famous female saint, Brigid. The Cathedral is open to the public in the summer months and a entry fee of €2 is asked of visitors. The round tower, Ireland's second tallest at 32 metres (105ft.) is also open to the public during the summer months.

Dating back to 1198, the Brazen Head is Ireland's oldest pub (so they say). It is well worth a visit for both its historical value and reputation as one of Dublin's best Irish music venues. It also boasts a lovely traditional Irish menu which will not disappoint. Driving to Dublin is approximately 45 minutes (traffic depending) or take the train from Newbridge to Heuston Station and then take the luas to Smithfield stop, come out on to quays and cross the bridge and there you'll find it. Nice cosy spot.

The Curragh Racecourse -- usually referred to as simply the Curragh -- is one of Ireland's most important Thoroughbred racecourses. It is situated on the Curragh plain in County Kildare, between the towns of Newbridge  and Kildare. The name "Curragh" comes from the Irish language word Cuirreach, meaning "place of the running horse". The first Derby was held in 1866, and in 1868 the Curragh was officially declared a horse racing and training facility by act of parliament. If you fancy a nice day out at the races this is the place to be, check out the schedule and get your best dress ready if you plan to head to a derby. The Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Weekend is a three-day festival on the 24th, 25th and 26th of June 2022.

Personal favourite

Dine like its 1929 is the tagline for Dublin’s Tram cafe, The Tram Cafe is a vintage tram taken by the owner from a field in Co.Cavan and refurbished as a Cafe. This quirky new space also has a large, canopied outdoor seating area where you can sit and watch the world go by with a view of the beautiful vintage tram. Located just a stone’s throw from the Jervis Street shopping Centre. A favourite of mine for tea/coffee or bit of breakfast, you can feel the ambience here! Worth a visit of you'rein Dublin.
